Shasta Maple Cutting Board

The Shasta cutting board features our beautiful White Hard Maple with an accent of Walnut on both ends, all North American hardwoods. The Hard Maple is an excellent wood for cutting boards as its hardness and density resist cuts better than many other wood species. The brightness and warmth also make using this cutting board an enjoyable experience.

The Walnut end spline is more than just a stunning contrast of natural wood color and texture. The cross grain of these splines serve two practical purposes: stability and durability. These splines help to reduce chances of warp and natural movement of the Maple from seasonal and environmental changes; having them inlaid on the ends also helps to prevent potential splitting of the Maple's end grain or glue joints. 

And, of course, we've finishes these cutting boards with our favorite petroleum-free Cutting Board Oil from RMP Co Finishes, an all-natural and totally food-grade finish.
