Where We Source Our Walnut Lumber
The team at North Castle Hardwoods has specialized in premium black walnut lumber for over 30 years. This product was originally developed for the demanding Japanese market, but now American woodworkers are finding it among the finest walnut wood available.
Our walnut is sourced from prime growing regions that produce the best, most consistent color and texture. The trees are select-cut using responsible forestry practices that make the forests healthier in the long run. We understand that the forests are our future, and are committed to taking great care of them. Our black walnut is grown, harvested, steamed, dried, and finished in the midwestern United States, making it truly a local product.
